As parents, providing our children with the best education is essential. It’s what we strive for. But when it comes down to finding the right program to enroll your child in – that can sometimes get overwhelming. What schools are out there? What program best suits your child’s needs? What’s the cost of tuition? It’s a daunting task to take on and to be perfectly honest, I’m very intimidated by the thought of it.
Since my oldest is now 4 and very interested in going to school, it seems the time has come for me to start venturing down that path. I have my list of questions read to go, but where do I start?
This couldn’t be happening at a better time for me. I just so happens that this weekend is the Main Line Early Childhood Education Fair hosted by Main Line Parent and sponsored by the Kimberton Waldorf School.
Choosing a preschool or other early education program can be down-right daunting. But we want parents to see the plethora of options on the Main Line as a benefit, not a hurdle. The Main Line Parent Early Childhood Education Fairs, sponsored by Kimberton Waldorf School, are a stress-free way to meet area schools face-to-face, ask the burning questions, and do it all in one afternoon. By the end of the fair we hope you will know better what style of program is for your child, understand your top schools’ admissions processes, and have the information you need about tuition, scholarships, and tax credits. ~Melissa Greiner
This year’s fair will be broken down into two days, Saturday January 26th and Sunday January 27th from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Saturday’s event will be hosted in Wayne and feature schools in the Western Main Line. Sunday’s event will be hosted in Wynnewood and will feature schools in the Eastern Main Line. During both events there will also be a Milk & Cookie Mingle featuring the delectable goodies from Cookies by Alexis where you can meet local families as well as nannies and sitters through Main Line Parent’s sponsor, Urbansitter.
